Sign Specifications
Electronic Files
We accept files created in the following native applications:
- Adobe Photoshop CS2 or earlier
- Adobe Illustrator CS2 or earlier
- CorelDraw X6 or earlier
- Files must be saved as an IBM compatible TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PSD or EPS.
- For full color printing, RGB images need to be submitted at 300 dpi.
- All files need to be submitted at the size being used for printing.
- CREATE OUTLINES for all text in your document or send us the TTF fonts (PC only).
- Color your text and graphics using Pantone colors, CV only.
- If you are using an imported graphic in your Illustrator document, be sure to include the original graphic file. Place graphics at 100%.
- Save the file as an Illustrator EPS, AI or PDF.
Always export your files according to the following specifications and be sure to include your supporting graphics.

- All text should be “CONVERT TO CURVES” or send us TTF the fonts (PC only).
- Save the file as an IBM compatible CDR.
- If the graphics contain patterns or gradients, export your file as a Photoshop TIFF document, saved with 300 dpi.
- We cannot guarantee the result when printing a file with a gradient.
Logo and Product Image
Web Images: We cannot accept images taken from websites, as they are typically low resolution and unsuitable for printing.
File Types: We accept vector-based files (AI, CDR, EPS, PDF) and high-resolution JPEG or PNG images.
Compression: We support “sit,” “sea,” and “zip” compressed files. Do not embed art within the document; include linked files separately.
Creating Files
Document Size: Create one item per document, sized exactly as it will appear in print.
Graphics: Place all graphics at 100% scale.
Fonts
IBM-Compatible: Convert text to paths, curves, or outlines whenever possible. Do not use the style palette to modify fonts.
Outlines, Borders, and Boxes
Minimum Size: All outlines, borders, or boxes must be at least 8.0 pt in thickness.
Scaling: Ensure that graphics scale proportionally during enlargement.
Color Requirements
Color Mode: RGB color mode is highly recommended for all files. Pantone, CMYK, and Spot Colors will be converted to RGB for printing, which may result in slight color variation. Printed colors may differ from what you see on screen.
Color Separations: Check your color separations before submitting files to ensure accurate color reproduction.
File Size Limit
Maximum File Size: Artwork/layout files should not exceed 250MB.
Important Notes:
File Compatibility: Only the file formats listed above will be accepted. We will not be able to work with files in other formats.
